WED. 9/4 – Learn the Thriller Dance for the Campbell Zombie Crawl!

FREE EVENT

You may be asking what’s the big deal? Well those of us in our 60’s to 40’s remember the famous thriller dance from the epic music video that was premiered on MTV back in the early 80’s. It was one of those “Well that is new!” Almost like when you saw the movie “The Matrix” for the first time. It was the first time stop animation and 360 camera angles were used. Now it’s a thing of the past and almost normal to see slowed down animations or cinematography.

I remember the day I was at home and waiting for the music video to come on I was so excited and scared at the same time, since it was about zombies. I was actually shocked my mom let me watch it and was so glad she did. It was truly a revolutionary video and one of a kind. SOmething to go down in the history books as a game changer.

To commemorate this victorious event done by Michael Jackson Downtown Campbell puts on a Zombie Crawl Dance Mob. If you need to learn the dance to participate in the annual Campbell Zombie Crawl Dance Mob, there will be weekly workshops held at Adira Dance and Costume on Wednesdays at 7:00pm. These workshops are free and each session is one hour long. You’ll learn the choreography and have the chance to practice your moves while getting coaching.

The actual event will happen in Downtown Campbell, but the workshops to learn the dance will be held at Adira Dance and Costume on 2038 Lincoln Ave in San Jose, CA.

The actual event will be held on Friday, October 26th. All participants will gather in Downtown Campbell and perform the Thriller Dance at designated locations throughout Downtown Campbell. On the following day, at 3pm, the zombies will get back together at a location TBD to join in on the attempt to break the Guinness Book World Record for largest number of people to simultaneously participate in a group dance event around the world.

Tessora’s Restaurant and Wine Bar is so excited for this event and can’t wait to participate in this fun event. Will you be joining us?
